...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM AKDT THIS MORNING...
...FROST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM AKDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, visibility as low as 1/4 mile
  in dense fog. For the Frost Advisory, temperatures as low as 34
  will result in frost formation.

* WHERE...Fairbanks North Star Borough

* WHEN...Until 9 AM AKDT this morning.

* IMPACTS...
  -Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
  -Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor
  plants may be killed if left uncovered.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  -Fog has developed over the Tanana River and is moving northeast
  into town. Once the overnight inversion begins to dissipate the
  fog will quickly lift and dissipate.
  -Temperatures drop into the low to mid 30s tonight as skies clear
  after midnight. Isolated locations in typical cold spots may have
  frost tonight, specifically Goldstream Valley. In the City of
  Fairbanks, frost is possible but not as likely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

-If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.
-Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
