Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Strong winds will lead to areas of blowing dust which could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As of 10 PM Tuesday July 21, wind gusts up to 58 mph have been observed so far in Delta Junction with visibility at 1/4 mile or less due to blowing dust. Expect strong winds to continue overnight ahead of a band of rain moving in tomorrow which will lessen winds in Delta, but keep winds elevated south of Delta over Isabel Pass. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Areas of blowing dust could significantly reduce visibility. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Wind Advisory continues until 1pm Thursday as frequent wind gusts out of the south are expected to pick back up to within advisory criteria from Wednesday evening through midday Thursday as the pressure gradient over that area increases, once again.
