.DISCUSSION...
Relatively calm conditions under higher pressure Friday.
Temperatures peak Friday as well with highs in the mid to upper
60s and minimum RHs reaching into the upper 30s. A cold front
approaches the area from the west Saturday morning shifting winds
to the northwest and increasing chances of wetting rains near the
fire. The strongest winds are expected Saturday afternoon when
greater mixing will better allow stronger winds aloft to reach the
surface, but some gusts are possible earlier in the day.
Conditions calm once more Sunday before another storm far to the
west of the fire increase southerly winds over the mountains and
brings additional rain chances midweek next week.
