...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM AKDT THIS EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...
Hot and dry conditions are expected to continue at the fire site
through the weekend, with relative humidity values dropping into
the low 20s and temperatures rising into the mid 80s. Winds will
generally blow from the east to northeast around 5 to 10 mph
sustained during this time frame, with gusts up to around 15 mph
during periods of max solar heating in the daytime. As a result of
these favorable fire weather conditions, through 10 PM AKDT this
evening, a Red Flag Warning is in effect, with rapid fire
ignition, spread, and growth possible. Beginning early next week,
the potential for showers and thunderstorms will return, with
cooler conditions possible with higher RH values.
