.DISCUSSION...
There will be two separate weather regimes across the Interior
over the next few days. Areas from Fairbanks to the Yukon Flats
west will mostly see warm and dry weather with highs in the 70s
and minimum relative humidity values falling into the 30s each
day. Temperatures are expected to gradually warm into the upper
70s/lower 80s by midweek in most valley locations. Scattered
showers with isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms will be
possible Saturday and Sunday along the southern slopes of the
Brooks Range, in the Yukon Uplands, and from Nenana southwest to
McGrathy. Isolated storms will also be possible over the White
Mountains on Sunday.
Conversely, areas from the Fortymile Uplands south, including
along the Alaska Highway and the eastern Alaska Range, will see
multiple days of cloudy, wet weather, with scattered to numerous
showers in the area. Some areas may see upwards of half an inch of
rain through Tuesday. Among these showers, isolated to widely
scattered thunderstorms will be possible on Saturday, with mostly
isolated storms on Sunday.
