.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- Widespread rain showers continue across the Interior through
Monday night. Additional rainfall amounts between 0.10-0.30" is
expected, with locally higher amounts between 0.50-1.00" around
Delta Junction and the Alaska Range.
- West/northwest winds strengthen tonight across the Interior,
with gusts up to 30 mph possible, especially in the Middle/Upper
Tanana Valley. Winds weaken going into Tuesday morning.
- Temperatures briefly cool into the upper 40s/low 50s Tuesday and
Wednesday, but quickly warm back into the mid/upper 50s by
Thursday as high pressure builds over the Gulf of Alaska.
- Min RHs gradually decrease throughout the week as showers move
out of the region, with the driest spots seeing values near 40%
by Thursday. Going into the weekend, widespread showers return
and bring Min RH values back to above 50%.
