.DISCUSSION...
The next several days across the Central and Eastern Interior
will be characterized by warmer weather in the mid-to-upper 60s
and in some cases possibly lower 70s, depending on cloud cover.
Showers will be possible across much of the area, especially
moving into the weekend, with heavy rainfall possible with any
showers or storms that form in the Eastern Interior. Minimum
RH values will rise into the weekend, with 20s and 30s on Friday
and Saturday rising above 30 percent for most areas by Sunday.
Isolated thunderstorms will be possible this evening over the
Fortymile Uplands and adjacent parts of the eastern Interior to
the north and west. Each afternoon from Friday through the weekend
will see isolated thunderstorm chances in similar areas, with the
areal extent of possible thunderstorms increasing each day.
Widely scattered thunderstorms will be possible near Northway
during PM hours Saturday, and will be possible across a much
broader area extending northwest to Fairbanks and north to near
Circle on Sunday. Any showers or thunderstorms in these areas
could potentially have heavy rainfall with significant wetting
rains.
