.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- Isolated showers will move from the southern Interior to the
northern Interior through the afternoon. Total rainfall amounts
will be around 0.10" to 0.25" with the lowest amounts in the
Upper Tanana Valley. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms remain
possible this afternoon across the Interior with coverage
shifting north of the White Mountains tomorrow.
- Temperatures will be cool, in the 60s to near 70 through
Saturday with a warming trend on Sunday.
- Chinook flow increases tonight in the AK Range with south wind
gusts up to 45 mph through Friday. Wind gusts upwards of 50 to
60 mph through the AK Range passes possible Saturday into
Sunday.
- Min RHs remain moderate through the start of the weekend for
most of the Interior (>40%) but a few 30-40% RHs are possible in
the Upper Tanana Valley. More widespread 30% values arrive on
Sunday with increased chinook flow. The warmest/driest day for
the forecast period is looking to occur on Monday.
