.DISCUSSION...
A southeasterly flow aloft has developed due to the influence of a
low pressure system over the northern Gulf of Alaska. Today and
Saturday the atmosphere becomes more unstable as an upper level
disturbance moves up. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms
will be possible this afternoon over the Alaska Range...upper Tanana
Valley and Fortymile Country. Saturday and Saturday night numerous
showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to the south of a
Fairbanks-Circle line. Much of that area will receive a wetting
rain. The rest of the Interior will stay under a ridge of high
pressure with a warming and drying trend through the weekend.
Temperatures will warm back into the 70s with decreasing humidities.
There will be some gusty northeast winds today.
