.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- Temperatures cool through Wednesday with highs across the region
onlyreaching into the low to mid 50s. Minimum RHs rise above 50
percent with the falling temperatures
- Rainfall will spread across the southeastern Interior Tuesday PM
with a few isolated thunderstorms possible in the area. Wetting
rains are likely even in the Upper Tanana Valley, including near
the Mukluk fire.
- A cold front moves east across the Interior late Tuesday through
Wednesday.West winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range are
expected to peak Wednesday following the front. Winds weaken
overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
- Rain chances will decrease in the southeastern Interior by
Thursday, with a moderately warm and dry day possible Friday
ahead of cooler weather over the weekend.
