.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- Slight chance for precipitation across the northern Interior
throughout the day, shifting to the eastern Interior tonight
into Thursday, with frontal passage from the northwest.
- With the frontal passage, southwest winds are expected to pickup
across the Interior today with winds between 10 and 15 mph in
the valleys and up to 25 mph in the higher elevations.
- Gradual warming trend expected through Saturday with
temperatures reaching the mid to upper 70s before dropping again
on Sunday.
- With the warming trend, drier conditions are expected with min
RHs between 25 and 35% through Saturday. Driest conditions are
expected over the Upper Tanana, Fortymile Country, and the Yukon
Flats.
- By Sunday and the beginning of next week, a low from the Bering
is expected to approach, bring southwest flow and the potential
for quite a bit of precipitation.
