.DISCUSSION...
An arctic front will continue to progress eastward keeping showers
in the Eastern Interior through tonight. Showers are anticipated
to persist longer in the higher terrain, while valley locations
should have rain ending in the afternoon. There will be a brief
warming and drying trend behind this front as a weak ridge builds
to our west. Temperatures in the valleys will remain in the mid
60s until Saturday. Minimum RH values are anticipated to stay at
40 percent or greater during this time. Wednesday and Thursday
southwest winds will pick up, with higher terrain seeing wind
gusts up to 25 mph. The strongest winds will be the White
Mountains and Eastern Brooks Range.
Saturday the next front will bring widespread wetting rains and
cooler temperatures to the Eastern Interior.
