.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...Updated to include a bullet about min RHs.
- Slight warming will begin on Friday, then highs returning to the
60s and 70s by Saturday, then remaining in the upper 60s on
Sunday.
- Gusty winds around 20 to 35 mph are occurring through tonight
for much of the Interior. Strongest winds shift east tomorrow
with northwest wind gusts peaking around 25 to 40 mph in the
Upper Tanana and Yukon Valleys.
- A drying trend is likely from Friday through Sunday afternoon. A
front will drop from north to south Sunday night through Monday
with an increased chance for showers.
- Min RHs will be high this afternoon and tomorrow with most spots
around 60-70%. However, the Central Interior and Yukon Flats
will drop to 40-45% on Friday. More noticeable drying occurs on
Saturday with min RHs as low as 35%.
- Afterwards, we are monitoring the potential for warmer and drier
weather next week as there is a chance for ridging to build in.
There is high uncertainty in the pattern, but this is worth
monitoring.
