.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- Maximum temperatures will hover in the upper 60s to near 70 for
most of the Interior Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday, a warming
trend begins, bringing temperatures from the low 70s to upper
70s in time for the weekend.
- Minimum RHs will gradually decrease through the week, around 30
to 40% Wednesday and Thursday. Min RHs will decrease with the
warmer temperatures this weekend, and will be around 25 to 35%
in most spots.
- West-southwest winds are expected to increase on Wednesday.
Expect sustained winds around 10 to 15 mph in most valleys with
15 to 25 mph likely around the Dalton Highway Summits, Yukon
Flats and White Mtns.
- Another frontal system approaches the Interior Wednesday night
with scattered showers in the Brooks Range and isolated showers
in the Eastern Interior. Isolated thunderstorms are possible in
the higher terrain around the Upper Tanana Valley Tuesday and
Wednesday.
