.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- The driest conditions are expected today, especially across the
Upper Tanana Valley, where minimum RHs fall into the upper 30s
to low 40s. RHs should generally gradually recover thereafter as
cloud cover and showers increase through the weekend.
- Shower coverage is expected to increase through the weekend,
from very isolated to more scattered by Sunday. Isolated
thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon, mainly over the
higher terrain of Fortymile Country, bringing localized heavy
rainfall and gusty outflow winds.
- Winds are generally expected to remain light throughout the
period. Monday night into Tuesday morning may see some elevated
wind gusts through the Alaska Range passes, with gusts up to 30
mph possible in Delta Junction.
