Key Messages...
- A cooling trend continues for one more day with highs in the 50s
to near 60 and min RHs in the upper 40 to 50% range. Slight warming
will begin tomorrow with highs returning to the 60s and 70s by
Saturday.
- Gusty winds are expected for Isabel and Windy Passes prompting
Wind Advisories to be issued for southerly wind gusts upwards of 55
to 60 mph for this timeframe. Windy Pass gusts are expected to
weaken in the morning while Isabel Pass gusts may persist into the
afternoon.
- A coastal storm in the Bering Sea will move into the Interior
today with the heaviest precipitation up to 1.00" or more expected
in the Alaska Range and Western Interior. Isolated thunderstorms are
expected this afternoon and evening in the Upper Tanana Valley and
Fortymile Country.
