.DISCUSSION...
Skies have begun begin to clear from the west as a ridge of high
pressure builds over the region. A warming and drying trend will
develop today into the weekend for the central Interior and most of
the eastern Interior. Temperatures will warm back into the 70s with
decreasing humidities. There will be increasing low level
instability so active wildfires could start to smoke or flare up
this weekend. Gusty east-northeast winds will develop on Friday but
decrease this weekend. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be
possible on Friday and Saturday over the Alaska Range...upper Tanana
Valley and Fortymile Country. There is a chance those showers move
up into the White Mountains Saturday night and Sunday as an upper
level disturbance lifts through in a southeast flow aloft.
