.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- Drying/warming trend returns today, lasting through the start of
the week. A Heat Advisory is in effect for the Yukon Flats and
Fortymile Country on Monday for temperatures in the mid to upper
80s. Monday is expected to be the driest day as well.
- A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 12 PM Monday for the
Alaska Range Passes and at Delta Junction. Wind gusts up to 65
mph are expected through Windy and Isabel Passes, with gusts up
to 55 mph in Delta. Southerly winds will broadly ramp up across
the Interior today, diminishing on Monday.
- Isolated showers and thunderstorms will return Monday afternoon,
transitioning to isolated to scattered showers Monday night
into Tuesday. Heavy precipitation amounts will remain focused in
the Western Alaska Range, with totals elsewhere around a
T-0.25" for most locations, locally higher amounts up to around
0.25-0.50".
