...COASTAL FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Significant coastal flooding and erosion possible.

* WHERE...Kotzebue Sound to Utqiagvik.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Low lying property including homes, businesses, and
  some critical infrastructure may be inundated. Some shoreline
  erosion may occur.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The peak for the highest water looks like
  it will be with the Wednesday afternoon high tide. There will
  still be concerns Thursday morning particularly when the winds
  turn northwesterly. Kotzebue is expecting 4 to 8 feet above mean
  high high water (MHHW). Kotzebue should be prepared for flooding

  Point Lay is expecting 4 to 8 feet above MHHW. Wainwright to
  Utqiagvik is expecting 2 to 5 feet above MHHW.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
