...SKILAK GLACIER DAMMED LAKE RELEASE...

At 9 AM Tuesday, the Skilak glacier dammed lake (GDL) is
releasing based on observed stage increases downriver. Data from
the streamgage at the Kenai River below Skilak Lake (SKLA2)
indicates that the river has crested near 12.15 ft. The Kenai
River at Kenai Keys (KEYA2) has reached 10.16 ft. The Kenai River
will begin falling at these locations today. Downstream locations
may continue to see rises through mid-day today (Tuesday) before
reaching crest and falling. Flooding is not anticipated along the
Kenai River at this time.
