...Periods of Heavy Snowfall for Turnagain Pass Thursday...

Snowfall is expected to increase across Turnagain Pass beginning
early Thursday morning, with snow levels reaching ground level.
Temperatures dropping to the low 20s Wednesday night will likely
allow for cold enough ground temperatures to allow for potential
accumulations along portions of the Seward Highway. Temperatures
in the morning before the snow moves in, may also allow for ice on
areas of the roadways, causing slippery road conditions. Snowfall
rates are expected to peak into the mid-to-late afternoon, which
may further impact travel conditions along this section of the
highway. Snowfall rates expected to decline late Thursday night,
ending by late Friday morning.
