South to southwesterly winds are expected to shift more westerly
this afternoon. Wind speeds are expected to be around 10 mph this
afternoon, but with the addition of a sea breeze in the afternoon
pushing across Anchorage and the Knik Arm, JBER could potentially
see brief gusts to around 15 to 20 mph. Confidence remains low
with how far from the water these winds will push inland. Vicinity
showers are expected to decrease later this morning, becoming
more hit and miss this afternoon. Winds weaken tonight and skies
will clear for Friday and this weekend.
