National Weather Service Anchorage AK
902 AM AKDT Mon Apr 21 2025

Forecast is based on ignition time of 1800 AKDT on April 21.
.DISCUSSION...

Rain and rain showers will move through the Cook Inlet and up
into the Mat-Su Valley through Tuesday as several disturbances
move over Southcentral. The latter of these disturbances will
arrive as a large upper trough that will dig towards the Gulf
of Alaska, forming an upper low that will keep precipitation
confined to the coastal areas and mountains along the Gulf.
The Mat-Su Valley down through the Knik Arm and Cook Inlet
looks to see drier, more northerly flow as shortwave ridging
begins to build in from the west as the Gulf low progresses
eastwards into the eastern Gulf and AK Panhandle.
