A very strong front is rapidly approaching the southern Kenai Peninsula
this morning. Calm winds currently being observed will increase quickly
this morning. Gusts in the 40 to 50 mph range are expected by early afternoon
with gusts as high as 65 mph possible. There is a chance that the north-south
oriented bay will protect Seldovia from the strong easterly winds; however,
the strong gusts may mix down and well exceed the 15 mph threshold given.
