.DISCUSSION...

Mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions and relatively light
southerly winds are expected across the northwestern portions of
the Susitna Valley over the next couple of days. There will be a
small chance for a wet afternoon thunderstorm to develop along the
Alaska Range and move over the fire site both this afternoon and
tomorrow afternoon, but expect prevailing conditions to stay
mostly dry with very little potential for wetting rainfall. Expect
a diurnal trend in south winds, peaking around 5 to 10 mph each
of the next few afternoons then becoming variable for each
overnight period.
