Forecast is based on forecast start time of 1800 AKDT on August 03.
.DISCUSSION...

A frontal system moving into Southcentral will stall out near the
Cook Inlet and Kenai Peninsula tonight into Tuesday, then slowly
weaken through Wednesday. This will keep steady rain and gusty
southeast winds in place along much of the Crow Pass trail, with
the heaviest rainfall expected towards the Girdwood side. Frequent
wind gusts between 25 and 35 mph are likely through Tuesday along
the valley running from the Eagle River Nature Center to the
Eagle Glacier Tarn, with even stronger gusts possible along
surrounding higher terrain. Ceilings will likely stay on the
higher side (close to ridgetop height) in spite of the rain, but
could briefly drop to around 3000 ft or lower in any periods of
moderate rainfall though Tuesday. Rain will begin to let up late
Tuesday into Wednesday as southeast winds also weaken to around 15
mph or less.
