Radio Weather Synopsis
National Weather Service Aberdeen SD
323 AM CDT Thu Jun 26 2025 /223 AM MDT Thu Jun 26 2025/

Showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect portions of the
listening area today as an upper level disturbance moves through the
area. Precipitation chances are expected to shift east out of
central South Dakota into the James Valley this morning and then
linger across northeast South Dakota and west central Minnesota into
the afternoon hours. No severe weather is anticipated with any of
this activity, but some of the stronger storms could produce some
locally heavy rainfall at times.

Foggy conditions will also be problematic for some areas early this
morning. Dense fog will be possible in the I-29 corridor and parts of
the Glacial Lakes through about nine to ten o`clock this morning. The
rain in the east will come to an end by late this afternoon, but
cloud cover will remain tough to break. More sunshine and warmer
temperatures are expected across central South Dakota by this
afternoon. Dry conditions will be brief as another system quickly
moves into the region Friday afternoon and Friday night and kicks off
another round of thunderstorms, some of which could be severe with
large hail and damaging winds possible.

Highs today will remain in the upper 60s to low 70s east to the mid
70s to near 80 in the west.
