A cold dome of high pressure at the surface will build eastward into
the Dakotas today and anchor itself in place tonight. This will keep
bitterly cold temperatures in place today into tonight, but slightly
moderating temperatures can be expected on Thursday. Light
accumulating snowfall is possible across the region on Friday as an
area of low pressure and associated warm front move east into the
Central Plains.

Highs today will generally rise into the single digits to around 10
degrees. Lows tonight will drop into the teens below and 20s below
zero. Highs on Thursday will rise into the teens and 20s for most
locations.
