Radio Weather Synopsis
National Weather Service Aberdeen SD
301 PM CDT Wed Jul 2 2025 /201 PM MDT Wed Jul 2 2025/

The heat and humidity will stick around through the end of the week
with the hottest day being Thursday. Highs will range from around 90
to near 100, highest over central SD, with dewpoints in the 60s to
around 70. Heat indices may top 100 degrees in a few spots by
Thursday afternoon. Similar dewpoints expected for Friday with high
temperatures ranging in the upper 80s to the mid 90s.

A system will bring increasing chances of showers and thunderstorms
Friday evening through Saturday morning with the highest chances of
precipitation, of 60 to 80 percent, over the James River Valley and
eastward. The main concern will be the potential for heavy rainfall
with amounts up to an inch, with locally higher amounts possible.
This would be the case with any slow moving thunderstorm or multiple
storms tracking over the same area.
