A mainly dry ridge of high pressure will dominate our weather Today.
Temperatures will top out in the mid 80s to mid 90s, with the warmer
conditions over central South Dakota.

Temperatures will fall into the 60s by daybreak Wednesday. Highs
Wednesday will range from the mid 80s over far eastern South Dakota
and west central Minnesota, to the upper 90s across central South
Dakota. The ridge of high pressure will exit east Wednesday, with
increasing winds out of the south gusting 25 to 30 mph over central
South Dakota Wednesday afternoon. The passage of a low pressure
system and cold front late Thursday afternoon through Thursday night
will bring a 40 to 70 percent chance of precipitation, with a
marginal risk, or level 1 out of 5, of severe storms.
