Our persistent area of low pressure over western and central South
Dakota will sink to southeastern South Dakota by late Wednesday
morning. Showers and thunderstorms will continue, with the highest
chance late tonight into Wednesday morning over northern portions of
South Dakota, where where is a Slight Risk for severe storms. The
strongest storms will be capable of producing 1 inch hail and winds
to around 60 mph.

Behind the exiting area of low pressure, cooler air will briefly move
in. After lows in the 60s, highs will only be in the 70s to around 80
degrees Wednesday afternoon.
