Expect dry conditions today as a high pressure center moves
overhead. Winds may be gusty this morning, particularly over north
central South Dakota where gusts may exceed 40 miles per hour. Winds
are expected to die down through the day today, dropping to 10 miles
per hour or less and turning to the east overnight. Some fog
development overnight may be possible, reducing visibility to as low
as a mile at times.

Wednesday, winds turn further to become southeasterly, increasing in
speed as well. Strongest gusts are expected over central and north
central South Dakota, up to 30 to 40 miles per hour at times. These
winds create some elevated fire weather concerns west of the
Missouri River. There is also a chance for some isolated to
scattered rain showers and weak thunderstorms on Wednesday. Little
is expected out of these showers in terms of rainfall totals,
perhaps up to a tenth of an inch at most.

High temperatures today will be in the upper 60s to low 70s across
the listening area. Overnight lows tonight will range from the mid
40s to the low 50s.
