Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across the listening
area late tonight through early Wednesday morning. There is a
marginal risk, level 1 out of 5, for severe weather over the
majority of the forecast area. Hail, up to quarter size, is the main
threat. Wind gusts to 60 mph and brief heavy downpours are also
possible. Overall dry weather expected for the rest of Wednesday and
Thursday before a system moves across the Northern Plains, bringing
widespread showers and thunderstorms Friday evening through Saturday
morning.

Heat and humidity return to the region Wednesday through Friday,
with highs in the upper 80s and 90s, and dewpoints in the 60s to low
70s. Heat indices near 100 is possible over south central SD.
