Radio Weather Synopsis
National Weather Service Aberdeen SD
151 PM CDT Thu Aug 21 2025 /1251 PM MDT Thu Aug 21 2025/

A cold front continues to slowly slide southwards into central and
northeast South Dakota, with hot and muggy conditions out ahead of
it. If we can get them to go, this will provide the fuel for
afternoon and evening thunderstorms with the risk for large hail and
high winds. Storms will diminish late in the evening with a brief
reprieve, before another round moves in from the west early Friday
morning.

Temperatures will dip into the 50s behind the cold front, with highs
Friday from mid 80s in central South Dakota to mid 70s up in the
Sisseton hills region, and noticeably lower humidity.
