Radio Weather Synopsis
National Weather Service Aberdeen SD
148 AM CDT Sat Sep 5 2026 /1248 AM MDT Sat Sep 5 2026/

Scattered showers and storms this morning over the listening area
will start to weaken and dissipate later in the morning. After a few
hour break, some more scattered showers and storms will likely
develop in the afternoon and through the night over the listening
area. There is a Marginal risk for these storms to become severe if
they have enough support to break through a cap over the area. If
that happens, then the storms could have hail up to 1 inch and wind
gusts of 60 mph possible in them.

High temperatures today will be in the low 80s over northeastern
South Dakota and west central Minnesota, and will increase to the
west with highs in the upper 90s over central South Dakota. With
higher humidity, the heat index values over parts of central South
Dakota could reach the triple digits today. Lows tonight will be in
the mid to upper 60s over the listening area.
