.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions are expected for the next several days with below
normal temperatures. Winds will increase out of the northwest today,
with gusts of 20 to 30 mph, highest over north central SD. Afternoon
relative humidity will range between 30 and 65 percent, lowest along
and west of the Missouri River. Similar RH values expected for
Sunday.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Sunday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
