.DISCUSSION...

Rain showers remain over eastern SD and west central MN today. Min
RH stays elevated across the region, ranging from 45 to 70 percent.

On Saturday, south to southwest winds to start the day will
gradually become northwest by evening as a cold front moves through
the area. Afternoon humidity is forecast to range from 30 to 45
percent across most of the area. A few storms could be strong to
severe Saturday afternoon and evening, mainly north of Hwy 14.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Saturday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
