.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions expected today and tonight with winds out of the
northwest between 10 to 15 mph. There is a 20 to 30 percent chance
of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday, mainly for portions of
central South Dakota. Afternoon relative humidity will drop between
30 to 40 percent and 25 to 50 percent Wednesday, with the lowest
values over far northeastern South Dakota into west central
Minnesota.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Wednesday afternoon...The grassland fire danger
index will reach the low category.
