.DISCUSSION...

Our relatively light winds and dry weather will continue. Cool high
pressure over south central Canada will sink over the eastern Dakotas
through Monday, and across Iowa Tuesday. Temperatures will moderate
back to seasonal normal values by Tuesday.

Relative humidity Monday and Tuesday will fall into the 25 to 35
percent range near and west of the Missouri River, and into the 40
percent range over eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Monday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
