.DISCUSSION...

Winds shift to the south and southwest today ahead of a cold front
that will swing through the Dakotas late this afternoon into the
evening. Southerly winds will gust 20 to 35 mph this afternoon. Some
of the storms may be strong to severe along and just behind the
front. Min RH ranges from 30 to 45 percent today.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Sunday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
