.DISCUSSION...

A few showers may linger near the South Dakota and Minnesota border
this morning. Otherwise, the forecast today and most of tonight is
dry until thunderstorms approach the Missouri River valley region
later tonight into early Sunday morning. Afternoon relative humidity
is expected to fall to around 40 to 60 percent throughout the region.

A few showers or thunderstorms may happen on Sunday. Otherwise, the
next chance for thunderstorms doesn`t show up until Monday afternoon
into Monday night.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Sunday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
