Survey Summary:
A tornado touched down in an open field between 168th & 169th
Street, just west of 442nd Avenue. Less than 10 minutes of being
on the ground, the tornado would cross 442nd Avenue and quickly
encounter a farm. The house on the property was destroyed, along
with several outbuildings. Significant tree damage was noted.
The tornado would begin to track south, moving along fields and
pasture land and would cross 169th Street where corn was flattened on
both sides of the road. The tornado continued south and crossed
both 170th and 171st Streets before roping out just north of
172nd Street. The tornado was on the ground for roughly
21 minutes and tracked just shy of 4 miles.
