A Slight Risk for severe weather, a level 2 of 5 threat, is in place today. Storms will be possible through the day, but the best chances for severe weather come in the afternoon to evening time frame. The main severe threat will be wind gusts of 60 to 70 miles per hour. Hail of one inch in diameter will also be a threat west of the Missouri River. Additionally, storms may bring heavy rain to the region, potentially leading to Flash Flooding. A Slight Risk for Excessive Rainfall, a level 2 of 4 threat, is in place today. Through Friday morning, up to 1 to 2 inches of rain may fall, with some localized amounts up to 3 inches possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
