Elevated grassland fire danger this afternoon for much of the region as humidity drops to between 20 and 30 percent, while westerly winds gust from 20 mph (I-90 corridor) to 35 mph (north central/northern South Dakota). .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Potential for the pattern to evolve into one that supports a period of strong to severe storms may develop by Monday. The Storm Prediction Center highlights eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota in a 15 percent chance for severe thunderstorms within 25 miles of a given point on Monday.
