Beginning this evening, heavy rain is expected to move into central South Dakota, expanding to cover the entire forecast area by tonight. Two inches or more of rainfall accumulation will be possible, with east central and south central South Dakota having a 40-60% chance to hit that threshold. Rainfall totals decrease moving north and west from those areas, but half an inch to an inch of rain can still be expected. A Slight Risk for excessive rainfall, a level 2 out of 4 threat, leading to flooding is in place today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Rain will linger Friday afternoon and evening, mainly over eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota. The heaviest showers and storms are expected to leave the area by Friday afternoon. Another Slight Risk for excessive rainfall leading to flooding is in place over parts of eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota for Friday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
