.DISCUSSION...Focusing on today and tonight, expect sky conditions
to be cloudy more than clear today into tonight. Surface high
pressure is settling in over the proposed burn area. Northwest
winds may hold on to a gust character around 15 to 20 mph for a
few hours this morning. But, as winds settle into more of a
westerly direction by early afternoon, winds should be diminished
to around 5 to 10 mph with perhaps occasional gusts to 15 mph. The
west component wind will help mix some drier air off the surface
down to the ground, yielding afternoon humidity values as low as
25 percent. Tonight, winds are expected to become light and, at
times, variable, with increasing rain chances after midnight.
Winds should remain light, at or under 10 mph, on Saturday
possibly becoming northerly by afternoon.
