.DISCUSSION...Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop
and move into/across western SD this afternoon, then eventually
make their way into portions of central SD late afternoon/early
this evening. Current timing looks to place best chances in the
Pierre area between 6PM/5PM and 10PM/9PM CDT/MDT. Main threat is
strong winds perhaps up to 70 mph. If any stronger storms move
through the Pierre region, it`s possible rainfall could exceed
0.50in, so we`ll be in touch if it appears something like that is
approaching Fort Pierre.

Aside from the rain and strong wind chances, hot temperatures
today will top out close to 100 degrees with east-southeast
breezes.
