.DISCUSSION...Hot and dry conditions are expected to persist today
as highs top out in the low 100s and heat indices around 105 to
perhaps as high as 110 degrees. Winds will generally favor a north
to northwest direction. On Monday, winds will favor an east to
southeast direction with hot temperatures in the upper 90s.

Precipitation chances (20-30%) return to central SD late Monday
afternoon into Monday evening. For your information, "CWR" below
in the forecast mean "chance of wetting rain." A wetting rain is
anything more than 0.10in precipitation. Notice on Monday this
increases to 13 percent. We realize 0.50in is the threshold, and
it would appear chances for anything higher than a half inch are
also rather low (less than 20%). Will continue to monitor the
situation and be in contact if this changes.

Also seeing precipitation chances returning to the area Wednesday
night. There may be a little better opportunity to receive greater
than a half inch, but still have a couple days to assess that
situation.
