High pressure will move across the region today, bringing light
winds and a sunny sky to start the day. Minimum relative humidity
values today will be between 35 and 50 percent. There will be
increasing clouds this afternoon and evening, ahead of the next
opportunity for rain that will arrive late this evening and continue
into Tuesday. The off and on rain showers are expected to be light,
but areas to the southeast of a line from Pierre to Aberdeen could
see rainfall amounts of a tenth to a quarter of an inch by Tuesday
evening. In addition, southeast winds will increase this evening and
will be between 10 to 20 mph on Tuesday. Gusts in central South
Dakota on Tuesday will be 25-30mph.
