.DISCUSSION...
East to east southeasterly winds will gust up around 20-30 mph this
afternoon mainly over central SD and portions of the James River
Valley. At the same time the minimum relative humidity values are on
track to be over 55 percent.
A low pressure system will be moving in to southern SD tonight, with
rain chances along the north and west side that moves in this
evening and overnight. The highest accumulations are expected over
south central and eastern South Dakota. The probability to see two
inches of rain or more reaches 40-60% over east central and south
central South Dakota, decreasing elsewhere to the north and west.
This rain will help to keep the minimum relative humidity above 60
percent over the next couple days. The low pressure system will also
move some stronger easterly winds in Friday, with gusts of 25 to 35
mph.
