.DISCUSSION...

Northwest wind gusts into early this evening over central and
northeastern South Dakota will be gusting up to around 25 mph. North
central South Dakota will see gusts between 25 to 40 mph. High
pressure building into the western Dakotas and Nebraska over the
next 24 hours will result in the continuation of west-northwest
winds across the region. Wind speeds and gusts will not be as strong
on Wednesday, around 10 to 20 mph with some occasionally higher
gusts. Cooler air in place on Wednesday will result in slightly
higher afternoon relative humidity values ranging from around 30
percent west river to 55 percent east of the Missouri River valley
region.
