The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  South Central De Baca County in east central New Mexico...
  North Central Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico...

* Until 245 PM MDT.

* At 210 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
  tornado was located 15 miles east of Mesa, or 35 miles south of
  Fort Sumner, moving northeast at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught
           without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or
           destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will
           occur. Tree damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Mainly rural areas of South Central De Baca and North Central
  Chaves Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
building away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home,
or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
