* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Torrance County in central New Mexico...
  Southwestern San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...

* Until 515 PM MDT.

* At 428 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 17 miles south of
  Clines Corners, or 16 miles east of Estancia, moving northeast at
  30 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
           damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Mainly rural areas of Northeastern Torrance and Southwestern San
  Miguel Counties.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 220 and 238.
Highway 285 between Mile Markers 231 and 247.
Highway 60 between Mile Markers 236 and 239.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on roadways as storms move through the area.
